We're an ordinary couple that live between Canyon and Amarillo, Texas.

Once my wife and I were at Northwest Texas Hospital on Coulter in Amarillo, waiting for our daughter to give birth to a baby girl.

We went down to the cafeteria in the hospital, but found we couldn't get anyone to answer basic questions we had about the food items available for sale. So we left.

We drove down the road and went to a Waffle House but were disappointed by the service there, and we left there too.

We went to a McDonalds on Coulter, but the lady in the drive-through lane who was taking our order kept mishearing what I was trying to order and repeating back something I did not say, so we drove away without purchasing.

Next we visited two Denny's and finally wound up at a Bar and Grill on Soncy before we were able to sit down and eat.

Even there, however, we had problems because they didn't serve plain mashed potatoes. They only had garlic mashed potatoes, which my wife didn't want. When she substituted a baked potato for the mashed potatoes, they charged us extra!

The story on the left is true, and happened in just one day in the city of Amarillo, Texas.

Amarillo is a great city, but there seems to be a prevailing attitude of poor service to customers.

Someone needs to hold businesses and restaurants accountable for poor business relationships with customers.
